Expansion of telemedicine has reportedly increased access to specialists for some patients with canc

Healthcare IT News (11/3, Jercich) reports that one of the “less publicized advantage of telemedicine is the availability of specialists for patients – particularly those with chronic diseases such as cancer.” Healthcare IT News suggests that the expansion of telemedicine has made it easier for some people with cancer and other chronic diseases to access specialists and some specialists are concerned that if the regulations that facilitated that expansion are rolled back, their patients could lose access to care they need.
