About the Physicians Society of Central Florida Foundation (PSCFF)

The PSCF Foundation supports medical student scholarships, our physician wellness program, and community initiatives that advance the future of medicine and promote the health and well-being of our region.

Because it Matters...

  • To the student who dreams of becoming a doctor but can’t afford the path.

  • To the physician battling burnout while caring for everyone else.

  • To the future of medicine.

  • To the patients who will one day rely on the doctors we help now.

  • To keep compassion at the center of care.

  • To honor the profession that gives so much.

  • To show that our medical community supports its own.

  • To remind us why we chose this path in the first place.

  • To fuel discovery, resilience, and purpose.

  • Because no one should have to choose between debt and a dream.

We're making strides toward our $20,000 goal, but we need your help to get there!

The PSCF Foundation has reached 25% of our target, raising $4,950 so far.

With your support, we can make an even greater impact.

The PSCF Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Physicians Society of Central Florida and is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

Medical School Scholarships

The Physicians Society of Central Florida (PSCF) Foundation has made significant contributions to the development of future physician leaders in our community by generously offering scholarships to medical students at the FSU College of MedicineUCF Medical School and Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Scholarships are awarded to candidates who possess a variety of qualities, characteristics, and achievements. We highly value candidates who are involved in organized medicine or have a strong interest in getting involved. We also prioritize candidates who come from a financial disadvantage and demonstrate a genuine passion for making a difference in the medical field. Additionally, we are impressed by candidates who have overcome challenges during their medical school journey.

In our selection process, we have prioritized students who exhibit financial need and maintain a commendable academic record. Additionally, we have requested applicants to compose a brief essay detailing the influence of their experiences in the Central Florida area on their medical education and subsequent career aspirations after completing medical school. Furthermore, we require a personal statement encompassing involvement in organized medicine, financial standing, proposed contributions to the medical field, and accomplishments in overcoming adversity during medical school.

High School Scholarships

Every year the PSCF Foundation awards scholarships to local high school students who demonstrate extraordinary scholarship, integrity, and a strong interest in science.

PHYSICIAN WELLNESS PROGRAM

The Foundation has developed the LifeBridge Physician Wellness Program to provide support services for local physicians.

Finding solace in the midst of a demanding medical profession can seem like an uphill battle. With burnout rates on the rise, it's crucial to acknowledge and confront the toll it takes on the overall well-being of physicians.

PSCF LifeBridge services provides a sanctuary for physicians to navigate the various obstacles they encounter, whether it be managing stress, restoring life's equilibrium, or recovering from trauma.

Our dedicated coaches are here to guide our members towards reclaiming satisfaction in both their career and personal life.

In an effort to ensure the PSCF Foundation can continue to cover the cost of physician visits with counselors through this program, a portion of the funds raised from fundraising goes towards the PSCF Physician Wellness Program.
