| PSCF Foundation Medical School Scholarships |
Medical School ScholarshipsThe Physicians Society of Central Florida (PSCF) Foundation has made significant contributions to developing future physician leaders by offering scholarships to medical students at the FSU College of Medicine (Orlando Campus), UCF College of Medicine, and Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine. Scholarships are awarded to candidates who possess a variety of qualities, including involvement in organized medicine, financial need, passion for improving the medical field, and resilience in overcoming challenges during medical school. Applicants are also asked to submit a personal statement describing their experiences and future goals. 
Alexandra KataFSU College of Medicine – Class of 2026 "Thank you so much, this is such an honor to receive the PSCF Foundation scholarship. This scholarship will make a meaningful difference in my medical education and help me continue pursuing my goal of becoming a general surgeon." Alexandra is passionate about hands-on care, systems-level change, and patient advocacy. She has served as Medical Student Council Secretary, led equity-focused global health initiatives, and contributed to surgical research. She is committed to wellness and mentoring cancer survivors. 
Melanie KwaschynOrlando College of Osteopathic Medicine – Class of 2028 "Receiving the PSCF Medical School Scholarship provides invaluable financial support, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to my medical education and community service." Melanie graduated with high honors from the University of Central Florida in Biomedical Sciences and is originally from Long Island, NY. She is committed to addressing food insecurity and advancing women's health and hopes to become an OB/GYN with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine.
