On February 22, 2023 members of the PSCF traveled to Tallahassee to meet with our local representatives at the Capitol.
Our PSCF Delegation consisted of PSCF President Dr. Srinivas Seela, Dr. Megan Core, Dr. Elizabeth Nelson, Dr. Charles Chase, Dr. Elena Holak, and Dr. Sanjay Pattani. PSCF Executive Director Fraser Cobbe and Managing Director Carrie Pope also joined the PSCF members in Tallahassee.
Among the topics discussed:
Prior Authorization Reform would provide patients and physicians with transparency, accountability, and time certainty in the prior authorization process required by insurance companies.
Telehealth measures benefiting patients we would like to see addressed to include recognition of “Audio-Only” services and payment parity for telehealth services.
The PSCF supports Loan Forgiveness for Physicians with the continued funding of the Florida Reimbursement Assistance for Medical Education (FRAME) program.
Ending the practice of retroactively denying legitimate claims for authorized services when physicians are relying on the treatment authorization provided by the insurance company prior to rending those services.
