The Physicians Society of Central Florida (PSCF) endorses the recent statements from the Florida Medical Association (FMA), American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP), the American College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Family Physicians, affirming the importance of childhood vaccinations. As the agencies note, vaccines are safe, effective, and among the greatest achievements of modern medicine, protecting generations of children from once life-threatening diseases.
As physicians, our foremost duty is to safeguard the health and well-being of children and the communities we serve. Childhood vaccines are among the most effective measures ever developed to prevent serious illnesses such as measles and pertussis. Preserving these protections is essential to maintaining public health for future generations.
The PSCF affirms that vaccine requirements have played a vital role in protecting children’s health and fostering confidence in science. These safeguards remain an important foundation for preserving the well-being of families and communities across Florida.
