Be vigilant of emails, texts and phone calls from individuals impersonating the Florida Department of Health or the Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA). Reports of these scams are increasing across Florida, with messages often creating urgency and asking recipients to click suspicious links, share personal information or make payments through untraceable methods.
Official communications from the Department will come from an @flhealth.gov email address (not scam domains such as flheallth.gov or fl-health.org).
If something feels off, pause and verify before responding.
